You are Uniquely Savvy: Speak with Impact

Imagine what the relationship with yourself could look like if your self-talk reflected a posture of “honor” as you celebrated your uniqueness instead of ruminating about how you are “different”, don’t fit in, or don’t belong.

Imagine what your professional and personal relationships could look like if the way you talked with them reflected a “heartfelt interest” in who they were as individual people with unique experiences and contributions to offer.

Reflections from The Coach’s Corner:

I was always different.

The black sheep of the family, the community, and the church -and, an ugly duckling (they called me), I never fit in.

My self-talk was toxic since childhood and eroded any sense of my identity… until I committed to doing my healing work in my late 20s and beyond.

It was wrenching and painful, but absolutely worth it.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today, at fifty-one I am whole, happy, peaceful, and free - liberated from the years of self-limiting beliefs and internal chains that stunted my growth.

Of course, life isn’t perfect, because perfection is not attainable.

And, we never arrive.

I don’t believe it’s healthy to live a life of constant striving, but I do think there are tremendous rewards that come from staying curious and present with a commitment to personal growth.

…All that to say, twenty-two years ago, I founded Uniquely Savvy, Inc and named it after Psalm 139:14.

My work is all about #honoring #celebrating and bringing #clarity to the uniqueness and essence of you and your story -on the inside and out.

In closing, last Fashion Friday was my birthday. I celebrated myself, and I celebrated you, too!

Cheers to you being uniquely savvy -made with great reverence- and becoming confident and comfortable in your own skin.

And, cheers to you hopefully being open to shifting your communication style to honor the uniqueness of both you -and those in your sphere.

Sending much love and wishing you an extra portion of all you need,
XOXO

Braided shoes, cut-outs, blazers, white sneakers, pocket square holder.

Pro Shopping Tip:

It’s been fun to “get dressed up” again on a more regular basis.

And, just like my “Reconsider Your Style” article mentioned, my style has changed.

While still thoughtful and intentional, I’m generally more casual.

For this reason, I continue to regularly edit my closet.

What about you?

When is the last time you audited and edited your closet? What changes to your style have you made?

How are you dressing your truth and how has shopping changed for you?

…Post-COVID retail just isn’t like what it used to be. The merchandise mix
in the stores is more limited and online shopping can be difficult, too.

Pro Shopping Tip:

If you haven’t made many new purchases over the last couple of years before you begin to online shop, head into a store where you can confirm your current size in the brands you love. Vanity sizing is still going strong -even in bridge lines, making it extra difficult to shop post-COVID.

P.S. The Doctor is In

The Doctor of Love & Kindness made his debut among a couple of hundred students as an official registered therapy dog at Blanchet High School during Mental Health Awareness Month. He’s definitely found his purpose and passion.

If your organization would like to have Doc bring stress relief, joy, and love to your location or special event, please feel free to reach out to Pet Partners, or me, directly.
